“Standardization” means buying identical manufacturer’s make and model for an identified Furniture Furnishings & Equipment item to facilitate maintainability, interoperability and use, to the maximum extent possible.
Identify preferred manufacturers of commodity items, if any exists.
Standardize all commodities to the extent practicable across new and reuse equipment, maximizing standardization of equipment and furnishings.
Meet with each department/activity to review requirements and planned equipment. Implement standardization decisions.
