What is Initial Outfitting (IO) Anyway?

“Any furniture, furnishings, resource protection/access control system, information technology, communication system, signage system, plants, artwork and medical equipment item is referred to as “Initial Outfitting” or “Commodity”.”
Initial Outfitting is typically accomplished as two processes.
IO-Transition Services include planning/designing and developing requirements while professionally managing the entire Initial Outfitting process including but not limited to space planning, medical equipment planning, interior design, relocation planning, phasing & transition activities, move management and public relations support.
IO-T deliverables include but are not limited to taking inventory of all systems and commodities, determining requirements for existing commodities, relocation of reuse items, transition planning and execution. Developing requirements for new commodities including medical equipment, industrial equipment, furniture, furnishings, low voltage/resource protection systems and disposal of unused commodities.
IO-Commodities Services encompasses procurement or preparation of procurement packages, logistics, installation, certification and training of all furniture, furnishings & equipment identified in the IO-C process.
IO-C deliverables can include order placement, logistics, warehousing and staging, installation, testing, certification, inspection, acceptance, training, cleaning, warranting of all commodities, O&M manuals and database.

We provide classroom and on-the-job training to all of our project managers and installers prior to them commencing work on any project. We are always striving to improve our expertise to ensure that our commodities are planned, managed, installed, tested, certified and users trained to the highest standard possible.
